Good News Garage NH attends Spring into Healthy Living Fair

This Saturday, April 17th, Good News Garage NH will be participating in the Spring into Healthy Living Fair at the Concord Co-op (24 South Main Street, Concord, NH). Join us - rain or shine - under the big top tent for this fun event! Good News Garage NH staff will be on-hand to discuss the tax benefits of donating cars to Good News Garage New Hampshire. We will also have Good News Garage goodies for everyone and of course, you can try out Road Hazard Ring Toss! Because of our "Donate a Car...Change a Life" program, Good News Garage NH has been selected as the October 2010 Concord Co-op Community Partner. Look for more details in the fall regarding this honor and how you can support Good News Garage NH.

Good News Garage NH Car Donation Day Fast Approaching!

The countdown has begun! Only three day until Good News Garage NH's Car Donation Day! On April 15th - TAX DAY - Good News Garage NH is sponsoring a Car Donation Day to recognize the tax benefits of donating cars, vans and trucks to Good News Garage. The Good News Garage NH office (located at 325 Merrill Street, Manchester, NH) will be open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm to accept your car donations. Don't have a car to donate? We will also accept the following donated car care items: flashlights, jumper cables, anti-freeze, first-aid kits, tire gauges, kleenex, ice scrapers, travel umbrellas and window cleaner. Everyone is encouraged to stop by the Good News Garage NH office, enjoy some homebaked goodies and pick up a complimentary Good News Garage NH flashlight keychain. Vermont Women's Expo in South Burlington

This is the second year we have had a booth at the Vermont Women's Expo. It was again a fantastic event with lots of great vendors. We highly recommend it. 

The volunteers and I had the chance to tell people that Good News Garage Vermont accepts any age car, truck, or van donation in Vermont. We also shared our goal, to help those in need of affordable reliable transportation. It was wonderful to have so many kind words shared with us. I love that Vermonters understand the importance of our program and care about others in need

Here are some photos of Anne Arnold-Ratliff and her travel companion, Ashlee, volunteering here at Good News Garage VT. They spent most of the day washing donated cars and vans. They also stapled information pads to the front of posters, which they will be putting up on their way back to Georgia.


Anne is on a forty-eight state journey, volunteering in each of the states. She choose Good News Garage as her nonprofit for Vermont.

Good News Garage NH LOVES Volunteers!

Good News Garage New Hampshire loves our wonderful volunteers and the assistance they provide. Here are a few of our recent volunteers and how they are sharing their diverse skills and interests to benefit Good News Garage's car donation program:

Annie, a retired businesswoman, loves to scrapbook. Over the last year, she has created two wonderful Good News Garage NH scrapbooks which feature our car recipients and donated cars. Annie is now preparing an Impala Car Opportunity scrapbook which will highlight the ten 2008 cars donated by Rick Hendrick and Hendrick Motorsports last May when Good News Garage and our car donation program was featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Matt, an MBA student, is interested in providing marketing assistance for our program. He will be helping me with numerous marketing projects to enhance and improve our marketing efforts and strategies.

Brittany (pictured above) is currently enrolled in interior design school. She is interested in helping Good News Garage NH spruce up our outdated offices. Brittany recently finished painting and decorating a bathrooom and next week she plans to paint a banner to help advertise the Good News Garage NH Car Donation Day event which is happening on April 15, 2010.

Inspiring Volunteer Visits Good News Garage Vermont.

Tomorrow, March 18, 2010 a woman name Anne Wishart Arnold-Ratliff will be here to volunteer. She is traveling around the country with the goal of volunteering in all forty-eight states. After she and her traveling companion, Ashlee, will be cleaning the donated cars and vans before they go to qualified low-income Vermonters. We are looking forward to meeting Anne and Ashlee.

Celebrate TAX DAY the GOOD NEWS GARAGE way!

On April 15, 2010, Good News Garage NH is sponsoring a Car Donation Day. We will be open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm to receive your vehicle donations. Good News Garage accepts donated cars, vans, trucks, RVs, mopeds - even boats and all donations qualify for a tax deduction ranging from $500 to FAIR MARKET VALUE. Donors receive a generous tax deduction, free towing or pick-up and have the satisfaction of knowing that their car donation is helping a local family.
